Signs your Evergreen Trees are struggling with disease.

Often times, we forget to look up when dealing with out trees. The foliage creates an effect that draws the eyes towards the canopy line, even when there are no leaves on the tree.  As we know what they looked like in Summer, our mind automatically fills them in during the Winter, and it is almost like we have to force ourselves to focus on the trunk to see the branch structure properly.

With Evergreens, they don't loose their foliage and so looking up  at the trunk of the tree, is almost never our first thought. When you notice the color of your tree lightening up, your first instinct is normally something to do with water, however I urge you to look up the trunk.

For informational purposes I included a couple trees I saw that shows the digression of disease on Evergreen Trees and what to look for as the cause.

Diseased trees or 'bug infested trees' tend to excrete sap in areas where their bark has been hurt.   When it looks like this, well the tree is loosing more nutrients that you can put into it.

Discoloration

When you noticed your evergreen Trees becoming light yellow instead of dark green.

Excessive Sap Leakage

This displays near wounded areas, often times showing beetle infestation.
